Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and Outreach: Conduct targeted outreach to K-12 schools, charter networks, and school districts, leveraging multi-channel strategies (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to initiate meaningful conversations.

  • Lead Qualification: Use a qualification framework, focusing on understanding district goals, identifying challenges, and assessing urgency to ensure leads align with Varsity Tutors for Schools' solutions.

  • Collaborative Engagement: Partner closely with AEs to share critical insights and maintain a seamless handoff of qualified leads. Participate in strategy sessions to align outreach with AE goals and district needs.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of outreach and prospect interactions in HubSpot, documenting key information and setting follow-up reminders.

  • Data and Metrics: Track and report on outreach efforts and qualified leads to ensure alignment with KPIs and contribute to overall sales pipeline growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field. Recent graduates with strong leadership and organizational experiences are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or education-related roles. Candidates with backgrounds in educational sales, EdTech familiarity, or experience with high-dosage tutoring are a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Communication and Relationship-Building: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented remote environment, building partnerships with AEs and interacting effectively with K-12 leaders.

    • CRM and Organization: Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and other sales tools, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail in a remote environment.

    • Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable with change, able to pivot as company strategies evolve, and capable of handling the demands of cold prospecting in challenging or unfamiliar markets.

    • Curiosity and Initiative: Eager to learn, ask questions, and actively improve skills.

    • Results-Driven: Highly focused on achieving and exceeding KPIs and quality benchmarks.

Training and Development: New SDRs will benefit from a comprehensive onboarding program that covers:

  • Gong: For call review and feedback

  • Slack: For internal communication
